The Company is registered with the Reserve Bank of India (“RBI”) as a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) and is classified as an Investment and Credit Company – Non-Deposit Taking (ICC-ND). SHPL falls under the Base Layer category pursuant to the RBI’s Scale Based Regulation framework.
SHPL forms an integral part of the Promoter and Promoter Group of Asian Paints Limited, India’s largest and Asia’s second-largest paint manufacturer.
The Company operates as a strategic investment entity, engaged in making investments across various financial instruments and products including strategic investment in Asian Paints and liquidity management diversified in different asset class. The Management of SHPL are focused, disciplined, and aligned with long-term capital stewardship.
